The GCS Firewall service provides comprehensive security against intrusions and denial of service attacks. The firewall service employs advanced filtering methods such as IP options, Malicious URL, and Bad Flags to stop attacks and unauthorized users in their tracks. GCS firewall supports multiple customizable security zones on any interface allowing you to create a web of security and snag threats before they spread.

Mail

The GCS Secure Mail Appliance protects your existing mail server from today's constant threats of viruses and denial of service attacks by intercepting problems before they have a chance to harm your company. We strip out viruses and spam, then forward the disinfected email to your server.
If you want to replace your mail server, our Mail Appliance supports all popular mail clients and comes with a Webmail interface. We also include powerful anti-spam control software. Anti-virus protection is available for a small fee. If you prefer to continue to use your own server, Mail Server Armor provides similar protection for your current setup.

The IPSec VPN service ensures remote users can securely communicate with internal devices and applications. The IPSec VPN secures network traffic using IPSec security standards for encryption, authentication, and key management. GCS offers full and fractional T3, T1, DSL and managed dial-up connectivity at very competitive prices. We can manage your internal and external routers, even if you get your Internet connections somewhere else.
If you order a T1, T3, or Fractional T1/T3 service through Panix, we include router management as part of your service.

Our Guardian family of appliances provides a full range of file, print and file transfer managed services. This includes hot spares for mission critical applications and on and off-site options for data back up. RAID storage (200GB to 48 TB) is available in a vast range of options to protect your priceless company data.

Failover Protection

Hot Spare

Any Guardian™ or Mail Server may be ordered with a "hot spare" which can take over if the main unit dies. The spare is constantly pulling over changed data from the main server. In the event of a catastrophic failure of the primary unit (a lightning strike, coffee spilled into the machine, etc.) the hot spare can be made active within minutes, instead of having to wait for a new machine to be installed, and then having to restore any backed-up data from tape.


Managed File Servers may also be configured with either hot spare or hot-failover support. There are many possible configurations to consider, so please contact us to discuss these options.
